RV's Corner

After seven years of companionship, RV was diagnosed with
cancer. His bad days started to outnumber his good days, and
on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, we said goodbye to RV.
He was euthanized in the sunshine surrounded by his "harem,"
as we called ourselves. He is resting peacefully on our grounds.
There will never be another cat like RV, and we miss him tremendously.
The following text about RV is left for you to read and enjoy.
Hello, I am the good-will ambassador of Lone Peak Vet Hospital.
My job is to meet and greet you and your pets when you come
in. Sometimes I slack on my job and you won't see me, but
that's when I'm scouting the grounds. It is also my job to
be petted and scratched, and to be fed treats. I take this
part of my job very seriously.
My name is RV. Yes, I know, it's a silly name. I would have
picked something more manly like Rex or Brando, but my people
figured since I was a stray found in an RV park that it was
more appropriate for me. I have a gimpy leg, back from the
days of my rough and tumble life before Lone Peak. I am well-loved
and well taken care of, and I know it!
Nobody's
perfect, not even me. I have diabetes, and I receive regular
insulin injections and have my blood tested frequently. Of
course the diabetic thing was just a ploy to work my way into
the hearts and minds at Lone Peak. Once I was established,
I went into spontaneous remission! How convenient! My diabetes
has since returned - I just needed the extra attention.
I am not exactly low-maintenance, but I'm worth it. I get
regular baths and brushings and nail trims. I am adored by
everyone here, as it should be. I do get a wild hair sometimes
and run around the clinic with my bum wheel, playing hide
and seek behind exam room doors. But my true calling is a
cuddle kitty. I love naptime with my girls and boys (the vet
techs). I almost became a mascot for the Utah Jazz basketball
team, but my agent thought it would take my career in the
wrong direction.
If
you're in the area, pop in and say hi. I'd love to meet you.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the pictures and videos
of me and my adoring fans.
Your new friend,
RV
